Is my baby tortoise ok?

Hi all I have a 1 year old mediteranian spur thighed tortoise. I bought him from a breeder in Essex. I keep him in a vocation but I have drilled holes in it and also Put vents in it. The door is also constantly open. I had reptile woodchopping in it at first but then changed to top soil and sand. Since then it seems my tortoises eyes are a little swollen and don't open for a while after he wakes. I bathe him everyday and he always has his water bath. Since I realised thus I'm using cod liver oil for his eyes which seems to have let him open his eyes freely. But he now seems to sleep a lot more and needs waking. Whereas before he would wake himself. He also seems to yawn a lot and when he opens his mouth his jaw seems to click. Be doesn't have a runny nose or bubbles from his mouth. He's fine with eating also. Although he keeps rubbing his eyes with his front legs. I'm wondering what I can do to make him become more energetic and is there anything else I can do for his eyes as they still look swollen when he is sleePing. Thank you
