How to adapt on a Bake-well Tart?

Ok so in class we had to adapt on the bake well tart but, im not very creative. I put chocolate icing or melted chocolate and i put chocolate for the filing and chocolate chips in the sponge. And thats just not creative enough apparently to the teachers so i want help of how to adapt the bakewell tarts. Please help :)

Ok, my cousin is staying with us but here's the problem: she eats waaaay too much! This was yesterday's meal plan: Breakfast: 2 pieces of toast with nutella, 1 english muffin with peanut butter, a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes and a bowl of honey nut cheerios, a glass of orange juice. Lunch: 3 california rolls, PBJ sandwich, 4 Tim Tam biscuits (double coated) . Dinner: 3 cups of fried rice, a medium box of French fries, chicken, garlic bread, 4 slices of margherita pizza. Dessert: A WHOLE PINT of Ben and Jerry's chocolate fudge brownie, some froyo, a supersize chocolate mud muffin. Morning tea: 2 slices of red velvet cake, 1 lollipop. Arvo tea: 3 pop tarts, ( 1 was chocolate, 1 was cookies and cream, 1 was vanilla milkshake) 2 plates of poffertjes. Supper: 4 pieces of PB on toast and a chocolate fortisip. SHE IS EATING OUT OF MY HOUSE AND HOME! I can't afford to feed her and can't get rid of her so help!

Recipe for Cheap, Healthy Granola Bars?

I am trying to lose weight and the one thing that seems to stop me is my sweet tooth. I dont really like chips and salty snacks and vegetables dont really satisfy my cravings. With my first pregnancy (at 16) I craved slurpees all the time! I had about 10 a day throughout my entire pregnancy. With my next two pregnancies I craved peanuts all the time! Does this sound like a healthy dinner?

So I'm on a diet and I'm trying to decide what to eat for dinner. I guess I'm just more trying to eat healthy and watch portion size then be on an actual diet. I normally eat 1,500 calories a day and I try to burn off 500 every day which should result in a 1 pound weight loss every week. For breakfast today I had a smoothie that I made myself with 1 banana and 1 cup of vanilla soy milk accompanied by a tray of ice which was about 200 calories and for lunch I had a peanut butter sandwhich on wheat bread with an ear of sweet corn and a cup of apple sauce. That all adds up to around 710 calories so if I want to stick with eating around 1,500 then I guess i have a lot of calories for dinner tonight. I was thinking I piece of grilled chicken which is about 120 calories an ear of corn which is about 80 calories and a plain baked potatoe which I've heard a hundred things about that they have 160 calories and that they have 300 calories and that they are healthy and that they are horrible so I don't know if I should eat it or not.

Pie crust question for custard pies?

If you bake the crust separately, then how does the custard bake? Made custard and coconut custard pies all my life, for business and family....the custard is always baked in the crust. In my 40 years of baking, I have never seen a recipe where it is baked separately and poured into a cooked crust....just doesn't make sense. About 6-8 weeks ago I noticed my sweat starting to smell sickly sweet, like bread dough. It got stronger and stronger, so that others noticed it too. Put it back in the area it was in, it knows where it was going and if you put it somewhere outside of it's home territory it will just try to make it back home, increasing it's risks of being hit by a car. Help Ninja 250 messed up?

I recently did a valve adjustment ad a crab sync myself. Last night the bike ran ok made a bit of boise but i set the cams to .006-.007. I'm not sure but i think i might have done the valve adjustment too loosely. Now when i cut the bike on it idles and when i roll the throttle the bike cuts off at 4k rpm. OMG! Why is my laptop doing this?

Ok I am just a little concerned. I'm a 15 year old boy 5'4.5" and am taking vyvanse every morning at 8am. My parents are 6'1.5" and 5"8'. My brother is 6'1" and I am worried cause of my height. I sleep from around 11:30-12:00 and wake up at about 8:00. Sometimes I fall asleep around 11:00. I eat 3 meals a day, if I skip one, I just eat more than I would. I eat chicken or pork or ribs for dinner or whatever my mother makes, and am doing cross country right now. I run about 2-3 miles every Monday Wednesday and Friday, since I'm usually a little sore the day after. But I am increasing the distance slowly but surely. For breakfeast I eat either a waffle, bagel and pop tarts, or a bowl of cereal. For lunch I just eat whatever I can cook. I'm also going to start working out more every Tuesday and Thursday. I take the vyvanse (60mg) since it has helped do so well on guitar, I've taught myself a couple of songs, and I got 6 As and 2 Bs this year. I've noticed that I've felt taller every week and really notice it every couple weeks or so. I've grown about half an inch in about 3 months, so do you think the vyvanse may have suppressed my growth? I usually sleep about 8-9 hours a night, as mentioned. So I just want to know. Bake sales are tough. I wouldn't charge over a dollar for the cookies and brownies. Only because it's not a store bought brownie or cookie so people aren't compelled to buy them as much. Not sure why but that's just how it goes. I would charge at least $0.50 for the lemonade because as I can imagine it's not a fully filled big cup. If it is then, be my guest and charge $1! For the fruit salad I would say charge $3-4.50 for it.

What is the best type of cake to make with?

I want to make a vanilla/white cake still looking for a recipe I am always hesitant to bake recipes from the internet and the one on the cake flour box calls for way too much butter (3 sticks). can green iguanas be housed together with pacman frogs and fire salamanders? i've read something online that iguanas could be housed together with other species i.e. turtles and tortoises by most but since iguanas and pacman frogs both reside in the rainforest's of south america could they live together peacefully, i'm aware that you shouldn't "mix" different species together, etc. but i've heard it can be done successfully and it has but will the pacman frog eat the fire salamander or not? i've seen a video on youtube with somebodies fire salamander that was housed with two fire-bellied toads and they've all been living with each other completely fine and no harm whatsoever for years but i know that iguanas could be aggressive towards their cage mates and may occasionally kill him and probably eat them (has happened before!) but what if it's a female iguana but could these three herps live together peacefully, if you were to build the cage large enough with a lot of hides for each of them to go into and a very large water dish than wouldn't they be fine or do all three of them require different housing requirements?

Hi all I have a 1 year old mediteranian spur thighed tortoise. I bought him from a breeder in Essex. I keep him in a vocation but I have drilled holes in it and also Put vents in it. The door is also constantly open. I had reptile woodchopping in it at first but then changed to top soil and sand. Since then it seems my tortoises eyes are a little swollen and don't open for a while after he wakes. I bathe him everyday and he always has his water bath. Since I realised thus I'm using cod liver oil for his eyes which seems to have let him open his eyes freely. But he now seems to sleep a lot more and needs waking. Whereas before he would wake himself. He also seems to yawn a lot and when he opens his mouth his jaw seems to click. Be doesn't have a runny nose or bubbles from his mouth. He's fine with eating also. Although he keeps rubbing his eyes with his front legs. I'm wondering what I can do to make him become more energetic and is there anything else I can do for his eyes as they still look swollen when he is sleePing. Thank you

Size of outdoor box turtle habitat?

I have two box turtles and they are in a 50 gallon tank which I know is too small. So I'm making a list of what I need for an outdoor enclosure and I'm not sure how big to make it. Please don't say as big as possible. I need an idea of how much space is enough but not too much for two box turtles. Also what is the best to use for substrate? I'm giving them a little pool but I don't know what to use as substrate. Also, my brother is giving me his russian tortoise and I was going to make a separate enclosure for him. So same questions, what size for two russian tortoises because I may buy another one. And what substrate is best for him?I read that a mixture of play sand, top soil, and some reptile moss is fine. Russian Tortoise in very poor condition?

I recently acquired a russian tortoise from a friend of a friend of a family member. They said he was in bad condition but i had no idea it would be this bad. Both of his eyes are swoolen shut, he cant see and won't eat, I'm not sure he can even open his mouth enough to eat.I've got him in a big kiddy pool with one side around 91 and the other around 72 degrees with around 50% humidity. Is there any way I can make him a happy healthy tortoise? He is in terrible condition, and i am worried keeping him alive is only causing him more pain.I feel if he could just get his eyes open he would be able to get on the right track to recovery. If putting him to rest is the only option I am willing to do so as seeing him in this condition makes me feel sick and i would hate to see him keep suffering if he has no chance of survival. I have been letting him soak in warm water as often as I can to try and help his dry skin and hopefully help his eyes open. Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you

Can someone critique the prologue to my story?

This has some good elements but this is too random for a prologue. Especially if this person is not a major character, why put this before your story? If this scene can be put somewhere into your story, why use it as a prologue? This is a great, descriptive scene but it isn't a good opening to a story. A beginning has to grab the reader's attention. A prologue should only be used to explain back story that can't be fit neatly into your plot. This is a good scene...It just doesn't have enough to grab the attention of the reader. It sounds like a fashion magazine article and there isn't any feeling to the characters. This is good but with some work this could be great. Best of luck!

Cooking with the "Montreal Chicken" Spice blend.?

Tonight, I am making dinner for my family, and I have decided on steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes and Montreal Chicken. I use the spice "Montreal chicken" I start by putting aluminum foil on a baking sheet, and of course washing the chicken. Preheating to 350, I put the chicken on the baking sheet, and sprinkle the 'Montreal chicken" on it and the pour some Italian dressing on top. Super easy, my only problem is everything around the chicken burns! The chicken doesn't, in fact it turns out amazing! I just don't want the extra stuff on the foil to burn. How do I keep that from happening???

How was my eating today?

Whats the point of doing that when you aren't eating healthy. You know that those foods are hight in fat and sugar so you are hurting your pancreas and are getting fatter instead of building lean muscle and getting rid of that fat. Best to eat more and eat healthier foods than to eat less and junk food.

When/ how/ how much sour cream to cake recipe?

If you add sour cream when it isn't called for, you will probably ruin the cake and it will not it any more moist than liquid called for in the recipe. This sounds like a pretty moist cake recipe. Just start testing the cake about 15 minutes after you start baking the cake. Insert a tooth pick in the center of cake and when it comes out clean, the cake is done. 20 minutes is not that long to bake a cake.

How to get mustard stains out?

I am working with what I have, I rinsed with cold water, made a baking soda paste to scrub it with. And a second paste to let it soaked in for like 30 min. I've heard that you can use vinegar in combo with the baking soda. I only have apple vinegar, will it work the same? I am very upset that some idiot put a pate of hot dogs with ketchup and mustard in my chair a few seconds before I sat down. I always look before I sit to avoid things like this! My shorts are made out of a spandex/nylon type material, the ketchup came right out after the scrub. But the mustard lingered. So after I am finished letting the paste soak in should I rinse with the apple vinegar and follow with cold water?

Teenager overeating, eats an entire box of cereal?

My sister has a foster kid who is 15 and eats entire boxes of graham crackers, pop tarts and last night ate an entire box of cereal, and a jar of peanut butter with a nail file and hid it under her bed. How do I repair my leather Ariat boots?

My Ariat boots had a little scuff on them. I went online and found out how to repair them. I tried the vasaline. It didn't help. Then I tried to apply a damp rag with a small amount of baking soda on it. I don't know if I scrubbed too hard or what, but it looks like a giant scuff or discoloration. Fourth Time My Brackets Fell Off?

Hi, well, I had braces for about a month now, & this is already my FOURTH time one of my brackets fell off. The first time it fell off, I was eating soft cereal [left molar]. The second & third time [happened at the same time] I wasn't eating anything. I was at school & it they suddenly came off [left & right molar], which happened a week ago. NOW, my bottom left tooth, the one below the springs or whatever, came off while I was eating soft Pop-tarts. I'm scared if I make another appointment with the orthodontist, they'll get mad. Why does this keep happening?

My Mother just seems to constantly get angry and throw a tantrum if she doesn't get things the way she wants. She never want to have a civil conversations about anything and all conversations with her constantly end in her yelling and running off while I remain calm. For example, I asked her for pop tarts as part of my Birthday present becuase I really don't get them much but she will never purchase these for me on any occasion and frowns if I buy themeself. How can I make Almond Butter thicker, so I can use it as a filling in puff pastry?

I bought a jar of almond butter at Cosco to use it as a filling for puff pastry. To my surprise. it is very runny and the butter is on the top of the jar. How do I tackle this health issue?

Lately I have been feeling real fatigued. I am always feeling hungry and sick to my stomach, and I crave "savory" foods. This feeling of hunger shuts my body down and I become very sleepy and sick. This same feeling happens after I eat semi-sweet food as well, like a bowl of frosted flakes or a pop tart. I once described that feeling like a sugar koma. I will say however I have never had one of those and I have been tested for diebeties(which I do not have). I thought it was happening because there was too much sugar in my diet, so I started eating meats and veggies to try and fix it. The same feeling hasn't gone away. Even after I eat a wholesome meal my body still feels very fatigued, hungry(almost like I am dealing with malnutrition), and it still tries to shut down. I am never satisfied after my meals although I feel full. I have trouble using the restroom and so my stomach always has sharp pains. Last night I had pains coming from my left kidney areas and the right side of my stomach abdomen area. I eat regularly- 3 times a day. Sometimes I will have a little something in between to settle my stomach because of the hunger feeling, but it never helps. I do not eat fast food or freezer food. My dinners consist of a meat, vegtable, and a starch. I try to mix it up as much as possible and keep it healthy. I don't use much seasonings, mainly garlic. I stay away from salt especially. Can someone please help me.

What's a fun but easy pet?

I really want a pet. I can get whatever pet I want, but I really want it to be the right pet. I was looking at a dog, but they need too much attention and barking wise = not me. A cat. We came so close to buying a cat, but with it jumping on things and clipping nails for 20 years = again, not me. I want a fun pet, but something that isn't too hard. I hate fish, and a tortoise are way too boring. Chickens are not me, and I read some other things on yahoo answers, and I am not getting a spider or any kind of insect or bug! I want a pet that I can hold in my arms and cuddle with, and something I will actually want to play with everyday, not like a fish or anything that lives in water (hermit crabs, etc.) A pet really entertaining too. I really like bunnies, but are they really fun? And like to cit on your lap, and can you play with them, such as in using toys and such? Guinea Pigs we thought about, but I don't find them thaaatt cute, and it's not something i would want to play with ALL the time. Do rabbits take up a lot of space? and can they stay indoors all the time? Do you have to get a giant pen thing to keep them in and how many do you have to get? Can you let them freely around the house all day? But I don't want poop and, or pee everywhere. And no way, never am i getting a ferret or rat or mouse! Hello! Before I begin, please, I ask you very kindly, don't make fun of me. My self esteem is as low as it can get right now. Anyway, I'm a 13 year old girl who is 5'5 and 144. I teeter on 142 and 143 on a good day (for me). I have been running 10 minutes, an hour break, and then another 10 minutes everyday for a week. I have seen somewhat of a loss, but not really. I have cut out pop, fast food, pop-tarts and other sweets. I want to be 136 pounds because that's the ideal weight for someone of my age. Please, please help me! What to say when giving a gift?

I did a week long basketball camp. the coaches were really nice and the loved me (not like relationship love, like i was there favorite person @ the camp). one of the coaches was my favorite, but all six of the coaches were really nice. Don't know the name of the breed, but it is a tortoise. Pet stores are not allowed to sell turtles that small, one of the main reasons being that they're so tiny children put them in their mouths and get salmonella. Sorry I couldn't give more info

What is wrong with me?

I'm tiered of eating. All I do is eat. Anything over 1000 is upsetting. The other day I was doing well, eating only 575 calories, but then binged on 800 calories worth of Pop Tarts. I was pissed to do that, but couldn't bring myself to throw it up afterward, since it's so hard to with Pop Tarts and soda and I hate throwing up. I'm tiered of this crap. Why can't I do anything right? Why was I born as fat child? Why did I fall ill? What are ways to calm me down before I go stick my fingers down my throat again?

Should I go to the doctor for this?

Yesterday I awoke to find that I have UTI (at least I'm pretty sure it is, it burns when I pee and there was a tiny little bit of blood and all that nice stuff) and it hurt really bad. My family's kind of a "let your body get rid of it" family when it comes to being sick or whatever and I rarely visit the doctor besides for anual checkups, so I read on the condition and tried a few home remedies. I drank baking soda in water, drank large amounts of water per hour, took an advil for the pain (which surprisingly worked) I ate blueberries, and by my mom's advice I used a vaginal douche. Today I woke up and used the bathroom and it still burns when I pee, but it didn't burn as bad and there was no blood. My lower pain is nearly gone as well. Should I go to the doctor for this since it lasted longer than 24 hours or should I just try the same things until it fades away?

I live in Australia and I enjoy American Food. I have have had almost all of the common stuff (eg. Dr.Pepper,Cherry Coke,Pop tarts,the fanta's .etc) but there are things I just cannot find eg.
